Inner Leadership (4.7.26)
Something I believe deeply is that we are living in a moment where it’s more important than ever to get in touch with our Inner Leadership, and our own personal conviction about how we want to positively impact the world.
Do you see yourself as a leader?
If you’re not sure, let me expand your definition of what it means to be a leader for a moment.
For some, leadership means showing up with intention in their professional pursuits - a desire to create change, have an impact, pave a path, be an example, inspire others, facilitate learning, motivate or empower others. (maybe through projects, workshops, innovation, business offerings, daily work, leading teams, modeling by doing, etc)
For some, leadership means showing up with intention in their families - a desire to create change, have an impact, pave a path, be an example, inspire others, facilitate learning, motivate or empower others. (maybe through intentional food or activity choices, care taking, teaching emotional and social skills, creating art projects or adventures, initiating healing or difficult conversations, etc)
For all of us, leadership can mean showing up with intention in our daily CHOICES. How we talk to ourselves, how to move and rest our bodies, how to create and honor boundaries around our energy and time, how to own our expertise and share our strengths with the world, how to love ourselves and surround ourselves with people who love us in return, how we honor our voice and share it with the world. How we create time and space to listen to our intuition and practice discernment. All of it, in service of showing up as WHOLE and integrated as possible, so that we contribute more peace and love out in the world.
Lofty goals?
Perhaps.
But, why not?!
Why not aspire to lead from our wholeness. From our highest, truest and best versions of ourselves.
Why not make the choice to live this life with as much intention as possible. To engage with it in a way that is full of joy, and presence and deep meaning.
I am surrounded by so many people that are choosing to live with intention, with deep purpose, and it brings me so much hope. The world is full of examples of separation and despair AND it is also full of people choosing to actively work to make it more whole and connected.
I want more of that.
Some of my work as a leader is in helping you see, feel and know that you too are a leader.
