Lifting Each Other Up (2.17.26)

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to engage in a business retreat, led by Kelsey Lettko and Krista Ripma, called Soul x Strategy.  It was the perfect blend of mindset work and business strategy, time to connect with ourselves and each other, dream big and then make a plan.  If you know me AT ALL, you know that this was in perfect alignment with things I love.

There are countless stories I could tell from this weekend, but a feeling that is lingering in my body is what I will choose to share.  I felt both lifted up by the other women on this retreat, AND energized by the act of lifting others up as well.

It’s the same energy of when I was teaching 7th grade math, and I would meet someone in the copy room - frazzled because the paper jammed (again), and the act of helping them unstick the jam, share about how they are feeling and then get ourselves ready to go meet kids.  (I have been on both ends of this exact scenario countless times!)

It’s the same feeling of both contributing to a new mama’s meal train, AND also being on the receiving end of meals, hand me down clothes, books or toys.

It was the same sensation of connecting with a bestie where they are just in awe of how you manage to do it all, AND they remind you that you don’t have to do it alone.

We’re in this together.

That’s the vibe.

We’re not alone.  We’re not doing any of this alone.

Sometimes we are the ones that need the encouragement, the cheerleading, the reflection of our worthiness and capabilities back to us.  And often, in the next moment, we’re shining that light back to others.  The act of lifting others up reminds us to lift ourselves up as well.  Or to reach out for communities where we know that will happen.

It feels so good to be seen, heard, held, encouraged.

I invite you to put yourself in the way of that goodness today, AND to offer it to someone else.

Be in the flow of that generous love.

Reflection Questions

1. Who could you support today?

2. What support could you reach out and ask for today

3. Who feels like your community these days?

Lots of love,

Jess

If you're ready to be in the flow of generous love and grow alongside other intentional leaders, the Intentional Leadership Community is a beautiful next step.
