Wisest Self (4.29.25)

When was the last time you tuned into your intuition?

Do you feel clear on what your intuition looks, sounds or feels like?

Because intuition is your inner wisdom, your inner guidance, it's going to be super personal.

If you feel unclear whether or not you’re accessing yours, I’ll give a few examples of mine, and see if it sparks something for you.

My intuition can present like:

  • A gut reaction, like a literally feeling in the low belly, (yes or no) when presented a choice

  • Full body chills when I hear or see something that feels deeply true or resonate to me

  • A persistent urge to circle back to something or check in a situation or person

  • An idea or inspiration - words to write to you, a concept for a workshop

  • Grounded perspective that comes through meditation or spending time in nature.  It often sounds like “there’s enough time” or “you’re on the right track

Any of those similar to yours?  What would you add to your list?

One of my favorite explorations to help myself and clients access their intuition is, of course, either through meditation or journaling.

I like to call it, “Dear Wisest Self” ( you can sub in “inner wisdom, most loving self, intuition” or whatever is speaking to you).

Mini Exercise: Wisest Self

  • Consider a situation that you’re facing right now related to your vision of yourself and your leadership.  Let it be a big one - related to your purpose, what you want to create, or how you want to shine.

  • Find a meditative position, sitting or standing or even laying down.  Let your hands land on your body somewhere - maybe the belly, the heart, or connect with your third eye.  Take a few breaths, slowing in and out through the nose.

  • Then pick up a pen, and write, “Dear Wisest Self,” and ask your question.

  • When you feel ready, pick up a different color pen, and respond, from your Wisest Self.

  • Let a dialogue unfold.  Listen and watch for what answers arise.

When you feel complete, take a moment to reflect on your experience:

How did your intuition, your Wisest Self, show up?

Sounds? Images? Words? Feelings?

What did you learn?

What surprised you?

Reflection Questions

  1. What conditions support your ability to access your intuition?

  2. What does your intuition look, sound or feel like?

  3. How does it feel when you make decisions informed by and aligned with your intuition?

Lots of love,

Jess
